Sundown National Park
Steep, rocky low-range tracks run from the eastern gate near Ballandean down to camps on the Severn River such as Burrows Waterhole and Reedy Waterhole. The main track to the river is moderate, while the track from Burrows Waterhole to Rats Castle is hard and a lift is recommended for its creek crossing.

Permits No permit to drive; QPWS camping permits booked ahead for every night, with the tag displayed.
Before you go Check QPWS park alerts before you go, and leave the trailer at home if you enter from the eastern side; the river crossings get deep after rain.
What the trip asks of your 4WD
In the order a fitter would raise them, each with the reason. Up to three parts that fit for each, the first already chosen; swap any of them, or mark one you don't need.
Build it for your 4WD
Your rego or your model, and every part below is one that fits it. Until then you see the gear that fits any 4WD; the parts made for one vehicle wait for yours.
1 · Suspension & GVM
High clearance is essential on the steep, loose climbs, and a lift is recommended for the Rats Castle track.

Loose surfaces on steep low-range grades and mud after rain call for a recovery kit.
3 · Rock sliders
Sharp rock on the climbs and river crossings damages sills, sumps and tyres.
4 · Lighting & 12V
There is no power or phone signal in the park, so a dual battery runs the fridge for the weekend.
Each of these is made for one vehicle, so the parts show once we know yours.
The trip asks for these; the rest of the rig is yours to choose. Build the whole rig for this trip.
