Bloomfield Track
The coastal road from Cape Tribulation to Wujal Wujal climbs and drops over short, very steep concrete pinches through the Daintree rainforest, with creek crossings along the way. It reopened in June 2024 after Cyclone Jasper, is for 4WDs only, and Douglas Shire says it is unsuitable for trailers, campervans or caravans.

Before you go Check Douglas Shire road conditions before you go; the track closes after heavy rain or landslips, mostly from December to April. Leave trailers and caravans behind.
What the trip asks of your 4WD
In the order a fitter would raise them, each with the reason. Up to three parts that fit for each, the first already chosen; swap any of them, or mark one you don't need.
Build it for your 4WD
Your rego or your model, and every part below is one that fits it. Until then you see the gear that fits any 4WD; the parts made for one vehicle wait for yours.
1 · Suspension & GVM
Loaded vehicles squat and wallow on the steep pinches over the Donovan and Cowie ranges, and firmer suspension keeps them level and controlled.

Wet clay and concrete lose grip after rain, so carry a recovery kit.

3 · Air intake
Creek crossings such as Emmagen and Woobadda Creek rise quickly after tropical downpours.
The trip asks for these; the rest of the rig is yours to choose. Build the whole rig for this trip.
