Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park

Emerald, spring-fed Lawn Hill Gorge and the Riversleigh fossil site in the Gulf savannah, reached on about 70 km of gravel and causeways from Gregory. The park reopened in stages from July 2025 after the 2023 floods, and part of it was handed back to the Waanyi people in 2023.

Permits QPWS camping bookings for Lawn Hill Gorge and the Miyumba bush camp (essential from Easter to October); Wugudaji-Adels Grove is a private camping park.

Before you go Check QPWS park alerts for the gorge campground and walks, and ring ahead to confirm fuel at Gregory; Adels Grove sells diesel and unleaded. Riversleigh and Miyumba close from October to April.
