A side trip off the Peninsula Developmental Road through tropical rainforest to Lockhart River, Portland Roads and the camps at Chilli Beach in Kutini-Payamu National Park. Frenchmans Track, a hard shortcut back west, crosses the Pascoe River, which can be more than a metre deep even in the dry.
